#topeoplesayingFEDALisdead

I am not saying this to be an obnoxious jerk or to undermine Djokovic and his impact on current tennis but as a huge tennis fan: FEDAL will NEVER be past its due as long as the fans relish the rivalry with the same amount of respect, excitement, and passion NOW as they did BEFORE Djokovic ascended as world #1. FEDAL will NEVER be past its due as long as they continue to push each other to produce their best tennis. And judging by the commentors rxns, the fans rxns, and their level of play at Indian Wells and the Aussie Open this year, I think I have proved my point.

“This is a long story, but I find it sad that you have to play on a surface the players don’t accept. I find it sad that a player like Rafa, at a tournament in his own country, has had to fight against a surface that does not want to play on.” — Roger Federer supporting Rafa

There is nothing for me to say except that you fought your hardest until the end, gave it your all, never gave in and through all the smiles and tears I’ll always love and support you Federer ♥

You don’t know what you mean to me.

“When you have a halo burning as brightly as his, it’s understandable you would wish to protect and enhance it.”

A mark of a true champion is not just how many times he or she wins, but how many times he or she could have lost, on the brink of defeat, yet still managed to win. A win may be secured in overwhelming fashion, but it may also be salvaged by the skin of one’s teeth. And it does not make the victory any less true. For the sweetest wins are not those achieved unchallenged, but those forged in the anvils of adversity, uncertainty, and doubt. - Homer Mendoza
